We're delighted to welcome Chef Adam Reid back to Y Marram for a third year running.
On Saturday 25th July, we have the pleasure of welcoming Adam, Chef Patron of the four AA rosette awarded Adam Reid at The French at The Midland Hotel, Manchester, owner of The Whippet & Pickle in Holmfirth, the culinary mind behind the dining experience at aether, Manchester Airport's private terminal, and twice winner of BBC's Great British Menu, for a one-night-only event at Y Marram.
It's always good fun having Adam cooking with us, some might even describe it as a joyful reunion between friends. Adam and Ellis have crossed paths and joined forces in the kitchen many times over the years, and as always this is bound to be an unforgettable dining experience rooted in creativity, bold flavours, and of course, a Northern edge.
Chef Adam keeps coming back to us. We'd like to think that says something.

With 20 years’ experience in top UK kitchens, Adam has shaped a bold, modern British style rooted in northern soul. From his early training under Paul Heathcote to acclaim at Adam Reid at The French, he’s twice won Great British Menu and continues to champion heartfelt, flavour-driven cooking from Manchester. Beyond The French, Adam owns The Whippet & Pickle in Holmfirth and curates the dining experience at aether, Manchester Airport's private terminal.
ELLIS BARRIE
Chef Ellis Barrie is a celebrated British chef known for bold, locally inspired cuisine rooted in sustainability. From co-founding The Marram Grass to mentoring at Y Marram, his farm-to-table ethos, media presence, and culinary innovation continue to shape modern British food and inspire the next generation of chefs.
