GUEST CHEF

Jeremy Pang

02.08.2026

We're buzzing to welcome Jeremy Pang back to Y Marram, returning after a year long sabbatical, which we consider as proof that a sold-out two-day event (and having to cook alongside Ellis and his terrible dad jokes) really does take its toll.

This time round, Jeremy's bringing something completely different. Forget dim sum and dumplings and think  full-on Korean BBQ-inspired fire feast. Live-fire cooking, smoke, serious flavours, fire music, and unbelievable drinks to match. In true Sunday session style, we kick things off mid-afternoon and let the day roll on naturally. Relaxed, loud (in the best way), and built for sharing.

Jeremy and Ellis go back years, from their time on Ready Steady Cook together.. There's a genuine friendship there and you can see it when they cook together, winding each other up and feeding off each other's energy. These events have a completely different feel to anything else we do at Y Marram, and that's exactly why people love them.

The

Chefs

Jeremy Pang

Jeremy comes from three generations of Chinese chefs. His grandfather ran a pastry shop in London's Chinatown in the 1960s, and his father's love of food shaped everything that followed. After a MSc in biochemical engineering, and a stint training at Le Cordon Bleu in Thailand, Jeremy followed his gut and founded the School of Wok in Covent Garden in 2009. It's since taught over 60,000 students and won multiple British Cookery School Awards.

On screen, Jeremy is a regular on Sunday Brunch, Saturday Kitchen, and Ready Steady Cook, and his own ITV series Jeremy Pang's Hong Kong Kitchen aired in 2025. He's written four cookbooks: Chinese Unchopped (with a foreword from Ken Hom), Hong Kong Diner, Jeremy Pang's School of Wok, and Jeremy Pang's Hong Kong Kitchen. His whole approach is about making great Asian cooking feel accessible, fun, and sociable,  which is exactly what he brings when he cooks at Y Marram.
