Saturday 24 October | 10:30am to 12pm or 1:30pm to 3pm | £12.50 per child
Come and get ready for Calan Gaeaf and Halloween with a morning (or afternoon) of making. Two sessions, the same workshop in each, so pick the one that suits your day.
We start with the apple, the old fruit of Calan Gaeaf. Children make apple prints, go on an apple treasure hunt and mix spiced apple overnight oats to take home.
Noise was part of the old winter-threshold customs, all bonfires, shouting and running home before the Hwch Ddu Gwta caught you. Sara leads a workshop making instruments, so every child goes home with a rattle, bell or clapper (to play later, sorry).
Sara also reads Ysgol Arswyd, a spooky story by local author Catrin Angharad Jones. There are pumpkins to paint and decorate, and tools for grown-ups who want to carve a lantern.
