Guest Chef Series: Simon Rimmer

  • YMARRAM Llanfairpwllgwyngyll, Wales, LL61 6RS United Kingdom (map)

We’re delighted to welcome Simon Rimmer back to Y Marram for a one-night-only guest chef evening celebrating vegetarian cooking, seasonality, and shared dining.

Simon Rimmer is a national food favourite and a pillar of Northern hospitality. Known for his on-screen chemistry with co-host Tim Lovejoy on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch, Simon has also graced our screens as the resident chef on BBC2's Something for the Weekend. Whether it's his dancing feet or his culinary expertise, Simon brings joy and flavour to every occasion.

Simon opened his first restaurant, Greens, in 1990 with minimal kitchen experience but a burning passion to create a top dining destination. Since then, he has authored four popular cookbooks: The Accidental Vegetarian, Rebel Cook, Lazy Brunch (co-authored with Tim Lovejoy), and his latest, Seasoned Vegetarian.

Join us for this unique opportunity to experience Simon Rimmer's culinary magic firsthand. Get your tickets now for an unforgettable evening with one of the UK's most cherished chefs!

The night will feature a  vegetarian tasting menu, inspired by local, seasonal fruits and vegetables and influenced by a mix of global eating styles. Expect bold flavours, beautiful produce, and Y Marram’s signature approach of refining casual dining into something truly memorable.

This will be a lively, relaxed evening, designed around great food, conversation, and atmosphere, with live music setting the tone and an interactive Q&A with Simon during the night.

With just one sitting from 6:00pm, the evening is yours to savour. Join us under the canopy for an unforgettable dining experience.
